What This Means for Securities and Asset Management Companies
Starting from March 16, 2025: Both securities companies and asset management companies with existing fund licenses can manage digital assets without additional permits or license!
Before this change, they would need to apply and obtain a special digital asset fund manager license.
They can just use their regular license!

As of March 19, 2025: SCB Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SCBAM) has updated it investment policies with SEC approval to include investment in digital assets (investment token and crypto assets).
This is available through SCB Easy app!
It's the app that most Thais use for daily payments, transfers, and bills.
